Fashion File: 4 easy ways to transition into Fall

With Fall just around the corner, here are four easy ways to help you transition from Summer to Fall:

. TOSS ON A LEATHER JACKET: In my opinion, leather jackets are definitely a Fall staple, and throwing them on a white summer lace or on your favorite summer number, not only helps you get the most out of your wardrobe but creates an interesting and contrasting look. So don't be afraid to pair it with delicate pieces like a lace or eyelet dress ;) - Gap quilted leather moto jacket / Madewell perfect leather motorcycle jacket / Sunday Best Franzen Leather Jacket / Madewell Summerhouse dress

. PAIR SHORTS AND BOOTIES: Shorts and booties together are a great combo and can make the whole open-toes to boot transition easy while still making you feel like you have not surrendered completely to the cooler temperatures ;) Just keep in mind that the wider the boot is around the ankle, the slimmer your leg will look, and vice-versa. - Lucky Brand Basel Booties / Sam Edelman Petty booties / Gap 1969 destructed sexy boyfriend denim shorts / Gap Sunkissed scallop-hem shorts

. THROW ON A FEDORA: Hats are a great way to update your look as they always bring in a cool vibe to any outfit and instantly transform it. A simple tee and skinny jeans outfit can be taken to the next level if you toss on a fedora, so don't be afraid to sport one! - Banana Republic Blair Felt Hat / Bailey for J.Crew Felt Hat

. LAYER SOME PLAID OR TARTAN: Layering is definitely the way to go during the Fall and its varying temps, and what better way to do it than with a plaid or tartan shirt? For an effortless and relaxed look, just throw it on a simple tee. - Gap Fitted boyfriend plaid shirt / rxmance® 200 peace tee
