Food File: Mint Cucumber Cocktail

Here's a cocktail recipe I wanted to share with all of you because if you're hosting NYE you might be interested in serving it. I tried this at Nordstrom's pre-opening party a few months ago and it was so good I asked the bartender for the recipe. It's super easy, fresh, and trust me, it doesn't disappoint.

INGREDIENTS (per drink):
. 5 mint or basil leaves (I've made this with both and they were equally good so I leave it to your preference).
. 4 cucumber slices.
. 2 oz Bombay Gin.
. 1 oz lemon juice.
. 1oz syrup (more ideas for syrup here).
. Soda water.

WHAT TO DO:
. Smash the basil/mint leaves and cucumber slices with a muddler.
. Combine all ingredients (except the soda water) in a cocktail shaker and shake vigorously.
. Strain into glass, top with soda water and enjoy!
